Conservation Programs Available

FSA is opening signup for the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP). The general signup runs from December 9, 2019 to February 28, 2020. The continuous signup runs from December 9, 2019 and is ongoing.

Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is  also accepting applications for the 2020 crop year for the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) and Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP).

NRCS programs offer funding to help producers make improvements to their operation that will also positively impact our natural resources such as water, air, and soil. CSP and EQIP are cost share programs that can help cover the cost of converting to a more environmentally friendly practice, either on a whole farm or field by field basis.

Great Bend Co-op offers insights on which program might best fit your operation based on your long term goals and strategy. Contact our Conservation Agronomy Specialist, Cammie Vaupel, today to set up an appointment to discuss the options available to you.
